Understanding MHT-CET Score Calculation & Admission Process
MHT-CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the State CET Cell, Government of Maharashtra. The PCM group exam tests Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Mathematics carries double weightage (2 marks per question) while Physics and Chemistry carry 1 or 2 marks per question depending on difficulty group. Approximately 4 to 5 lakh candidates appear for MHT-CET PCM each year, competing for seats in over 300 colleges across Maharashtra.

Eligibility: Passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Minimum 45% aggregate in PCM for Open category (40% for OBC, lower for SC/ST). Must be an Indian citizen.

Score Formula: Total MHT-CET Score = Physics (50) + Chemistry (50) + Mathematics (100) = 200 marks. No negative marking in PCM group. Percentile score is computed per subject across all sessions.
