MHT CET Percentile Formula & CAP Round College Cutoffs Explained
Maharashtra State CET Cell uses the Percentile Score method to calculate the MHT CET merit list, ensuring fairness across multiple exam days and different paper sets:
Official MHT CET Percentile Formula
The MHT CET Percentile Score is calculated separately for each group (PCM / PCB) using:
-
N≤: Number of candidates who scored equal to or less than you in that specific group (PCM or PCB).
-
N_total: Total number of candidates who appeared in that specific group across all exam days.
-
Multi-Day Normalization: Since MHT CET is held across multiple days, raw marks are scaled to a percentile to ensure fairness across different paper difficulty levels.
-
Tie-Breaking: Maths Percentile → Physics Percentile → Chemistry Percentile → Age (older candidate ranks higher).
