B.Arch 50:50 Composite Merit Formula & Admission Rules Explained
Admissions to 5-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programmes in India follow statutory Council of Architecture (CoA) guidelines combining your NATA entrance score with Class 12th / Diploma Board marks:
50:50 Composite Merit Calculation
Most state counselling authorities (such as Maharashtra State CET Cell CAP, Karnataka KEA, JAC Delhi, and TNEA) compute B.Arch merit rank using the standard 50:50 weightage formula:
-
NATA Component (50% Weightage): Your NATA score out of 200 is divided by 2 to yield a score out of 100.
-
Board Component (50% Weightage): Your overall Class 12th / 10+3 Diploma percentage is calculated out of 100.
-
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
